Hanna starts preschool Sept 2011

I cannot believe she is off to school. My little buddy who has been so much fun to hang-out with and play together is growing up. She was so excited about her own backpack, lunch box and new clothes.....I was crying though. I think I took more pictures of her and cried more over her then Seth or Cali. Hanna is my baby and it's hard to see her grow-up. She on the other hand was quick to say good-bye and give me a hug. I think she is looking forward to her own time away from Wyatt. She needs this time right now.

10 Year Anniversary, August 1011

These are the beautiful flowers KC had delivered to me for our 10 year anniversary. As usual, he was gone on our special day (training in San Francisco) but he made sure I still got flowers. It was so sweet and thoughtful.

After he got home from training, mom and Jack came up to watch the kids while we had a day to ourselves. We went to San Francisco/Alameda and went shopping and eating and just enjoying our alone time.

It certainly feels like more than 10 years because I feel like I have always known him. I can't wait to see what the next 10 years brings us and then onto eternity.....

I love you babe!

The Kids Take the Bus School Year 2011-2012

The kids take the bus and I love it. This way I don't have to get everyone ready. I just send Seth and Cali on their way to school with Miss Vickie. She is super nice and even picks up right at our gate. Then, after school they come home on the bus too and I don't have to wake up Wyatt during nap time. I feel very spoiled. The big downfall though is that I don't feel as connected to the kids teachers and not as involved. But the kids love taking the bus and KC and I have decided to pick them up sometimes and drop them off occasionally. All in all, I love this bus thing!!!

I have a really cute story to share with you. Cali has been asking lots of questions about marriage, dating, etc within the last 6 months. With her I have to be as real and open as I feel appropriate. She wants to know things like when it's ok to date and why do we date and who, etc, etc. So I tell her things that I feel are important for her to know about dating. I have shared with her what I feel she should be looking for in a companion and why those things are important. Then, she almost always brings up Tate Jenkins. She will ask if I think Tate will be all the things I have listed and do I think Tate will be a good husband. She then tells me that SHE feels Tate would be all of the good things needed to be a husband and that she likes how they have known each other their whole lives. She said once that, "we are already friends so it will be easy to get married". I think this is so sweet and I love that she has a good role model (Tate) to keep her standards high. I love that my family and I know such amazing friends.

Wyatt turned 2 and handled his big day like a champ. We did a "Car's" theme. We had pizza, fruit and cake. The kids played and enjoyed the nice day. He got lots of fun gifts too.

Cali is 7

Cali turned 7. She is fun, energetic, busy, can argue well, loves McDonald's nuggets and fries, loves MYO (frozen yogurt), wants her ears pierced next year, loves to dress-up, loves to put on make-up, wants to work with animals when she grows up, spunky, delightful, full of songs, great smile, loves to learn on her own terms, loves strawberries, socialable and so much more. We had already had her party in San Diego and she started school on her birthday so there wasn't much left to do...except eat at McDonald's.

First Day of School at Robert Down Elementary, Pacific Grove

It was the first day of school for Seth and Cali...and it also happened to be Cali's birthday. She wore a birthday crown that her teacher from last year gave her and she felt very special to start today. Her new teacher, Mrs Johnson, also had birthday stuff for her. Mrs Johnson was aware of her birthday and had her desk decorated and Cali got to pick a book from the treasure box. It made me feel so good to know that Cali was going to be in good hands.

Seth's teacher, Mrs Levy, could not have been more perfect for him. She is very enthusiastic about learning and was excited to get to know Seth. She wanted to make sure he felt included from day one and helped him to make friends.

I really felt good about this new school.
