We have waited so long for this day. Wyatt came to live with us in May of 2011. We started the adoption process in Feb of 2012. Finally a year later we finalized the process over the phone. The conversation with the judge was brief but very momentous. It meant that Wyatt was ours in every legal way forever. The judge told us he was signing the papers to make it official and then that was that. It was done!! The waiting was over. We could plan the temple trip. I cried and Wyatt tried to understand what was going on. It was as if he was looking at us like "but I've always been yours. Right?" It was a very special day.
